Your First Visit in Our Office
Plan to be
in the office approximately one hour.
Step 1:
WELCOME! We are expecting you.
Step 2:
Please give us your completed forms. If
you need any assistance, no problem,
we’re here to help.
Step 3:
Next, you will be shown to the
consultation/exam room, where you will
see a short 7 minute video to help
introduce you to chiropractic.
Step 4:
After the video, Sara, Angela or Terri
(the technical assistants) will ask you
to change into the exam clothing (which
keeps you covered except for your
spine).
Step 5:
The exam consists of three essential
parts:
-
Insight Millennium
tm
— a totally non-invasive,
computerized evaluation of your
spinal nerves using a surface EMG
and a Thermal Scan.
Standard range of motion and
neurological testing.
Radiographs (x-ray pictures). The
technical assistants will show Dr.
Johnson the initial results of your
examination and Dr. Johnson will
determine If radiographs are
necessary and for what area of the
spine. The technical assistants will
then make the radiographs at this
point.
Step 6:
Dr. Johnson will join you for your
consultation. During this time , you
talk and Dr. Johnson listens. He’ll ask
you questions about your current health
status and health history, explain a bit
about chiropractic and take notes as
necessary.
Step 7:
Motion Palpation. Dr. Johnson will
feel your spine to assess the position
and motion of your vertebrae.
Step 8:
If you both agree, Dr. Johnson will
continue with your
adjustment. Dr. Johnson will
administer your first adjustment and
reassess the position and motion of your
vertebrae after your adjustments with
motion palpation.
Step 9:
Return to the reception desk to settle
your account for today’s visit and
schedule your next appointment.
